Massage Facials

The Massage Facial will begin with a few shoulder compressions, neck traction and scalp hold along with a few massage strokes to the face. The therapist will then apply a hot towel with relaxing compressions to help open up the pores in preparation for a deep cleanse. Once the hot towels are removed the therapist using circular motion will cleanse the skin with one of our homemade facial scrubs of your choice. Hot towels will be applied once again with deep compressions to help loosen and remove the facial scrub. Once removed the therapist will then with light brush strokes apply an all natural facial clay mask of your choice. The therapist will let you rest as you enjoy a relaxing foot or hand massage of your choice as the facial clay hardens. Once the Facial clay has harden the therapist will apply the last round of hot towels with deep compressions to loosen and clean off the facial clay mask. Once the mask is removed enjoy a relaxing facial and neck massage and then ending with shoulder compressions, neck traction and a scalp hold.

Thai Massage

Thai Massage is an ancient form of massage thought to have been developed by Buddhist monks in Thailand 2,500 years ago. It uses passive stretching and gentle pressure along the body’s energy lines to increase flexibility, relieve muscle and joint tension and balance the body’s energy systems. Thai massage typically works with compression — rhythmic pressing movements directed into muscle tissues by either the hand or fingers.Thai massage usually takes place on a futon mat on the floor, with the client wearing loose or stretchy clothing like yoga gear. The therapist is also on the mat and moves your body into various stretches and positions, without any work on your part. This is why it is sometimes called “lazy man’s yoga”. Thai massage can be both relaxing and energizing, so it is a good choice if you want to be active after your massage. The therapist uses a variety of different sequences of techniques on clients, who are either laying face up, laying face down, seated, or on their side. There is constant body contact between the therapist and the client, but rather than rubbing on muscles, the body is compressed, pulled, stretched and rocked.

REIKI: a healing technique based on the principle that the therapist can channel energy into the patient by means of touch, to activate the natural healing processes of the patient’s body and restore physical and emotional well-being. ~ Ask for Stephanie
